On April 11, a group of sisters, OSF employees and staff members of Groth Design Group (architects) and VJS (construction) gathered to sign the last steel beam that will be “flown” into place. A picture of the signing group is included here. The inset shows the first sisters to sign the beam: Congregation Secretary Diana Tergerson, Director of the Congregation Diana De Bruin and Associate Director Sylvia Anne Sheldon.
The event began with a prayer acknowledging the significance of this milestone in the new convent process, and then Sr. Sylvia Anne Sheldon blessed the beam with holy water.
Additional photos can be found on the OSF Facebook page.
