The Home Depot’s Operation Surprise presented the congregation with a gift of $1,000 to be used to complement the new home of the Blessed Virgin Mary statue formerly in the grotto of St. Mary’s Academy. The donation will be used to add mulch and concrete to the current landscaping of the space scheduled for this spring. Andy Josephson, merchandising assistant store manager at The Home Depot in southeast Milwaukee, played a critical role in the process through his commitment to community projects for this publicly accessible space. Andy presented the check to the Administrative Team; Sr. Stella DeVenuta, project lead; and Corrine Ruhl, a St. Mary’s Academy alumna, class of 1950.
