Rieti Hermitage

A Quiet Place to Pause … to Reflect … To Rest

Rieti Hermitage is named after the Rieti Valley in Assisi, Italy, a place that was sacred to St. Francis. Situated on the grounds of St. Francis Convent in St. Francis, Wis., the Hermitage faces a wooded valley beside a grape arbor and is within walking distance of Lake Michigan.

A studio cottage, Rieti Hermitage is a secure building with a screened porch, electricity, heat, water, fully equipped kitchen, and is wheelchair accessible.

Spiritual pilgrims who wish to stay in a hermitage seek the alone-ness and quiet that this type of retreat offers.

Our intent is to continue the Franciscan tradition of providing a sacred space for women, men, or couples seeking a place for solitude and prayer.

For more information about reserving the Rieti Hermitage, send an email to hermitage@lakeosfs.org or call 414-744-1160.
